Stemwinder Stemwinders’ Bar & Grill has recently been expanded for the upcoming season, it will now feature a full service bar with heated outdoor seating for those that just have to be outside. An expanded sundeck patio for the BBQ cookouts is also located at the base of the resort.
Kimberley has half a dozen eating choices on the mountain from the standard Day Lodge cafeteria to the more upmarket, but still pleasantly casual, Kelsey's in the Marriott. In the town there's a much bigger choice and everything available from pizza, pasta or prime rib through to sandwich, schnitzel or seafood to hamburger, hashbrowns and eggs or glazed ham.
A visit to the Old Bauernhaus Restaurant is not to be missed. The Baurnhaus was constructed in southern Bavaria about 350 years ago. The building was taken apart, shipped to Canada and re-built in Kimberley. It serves authentic German cuisine.
At Mary's Kitchen specialty items include Ukrainian perogies or the English style Fish & Chips.
Outdoor skating, fitness centre, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dogsledding, wildlife safari, night skiing (Xmas - early March), bowling, cinema, variety of shops, restaurants, bars, gym, museum. ‘Kidzrule’ evening programme (3-12yr olds, $14 per evening). Once weekly coach excursion to Fernie where Kimberley multiday lift ticket is also valid (subject to availability).
Deemed "Kimbercare", Kimberley Alpine Resorts a fully certified hill side child
care facility. The program is designed for children ages 18 months to 6 years.
The program's aim is to provide a safe friendly environment for the child while their
parents head for a day on the slopes.
Operating daily from 8:30 am - 4:30 PM, the care facility works under provincially
regulated child to caregiver ratios. For this reason, the resort recommends booking a
reservation to ensure that all children can be provided for.
The facilities rates are easy and straight forward; $5.00 / hour per child to a
maximum of $30.00 / day.
