Snowboarding Holidays

As a relatively new sport (and a gruelling one sometimes!), snowboarding is a pastime of mostly younger winter sports enthusiasts (however many skiers are transitioning from the ski’s to the board). Young people don’t usually have a huge disposable income for expensive ski holidays – so snowboarding deals and offers are usually a must for the money conscious ‘boarder.. and let’s face it. Snowboarding equipment and daily lift-passes are not so cheap!

When choosing a snowboarding holiday the most important factor is the resort, and whether it has dedicated snowboard, parks and pipes, and whether it offers good off-piste options to quell the monotony of carving downhill with the skiers all-day. Some of the most popular snowboarding destinations include Whistler in Canada (for its off-piste skiing), Mayrhofen in Austria for its highly acclaimed terrain parks (let’s not forget the annual SnowBombing music festival either!) and Chamonix in France is recommended for those boarders into tricks - check out some of the natural kickers at Le Brevent and La Flégère!
