The Alpenland is the essence of simplicity and good value in Mayrhofen, ideal if you’re on a budget. The apartments are located just outside the centre, 5 minutes’ walk into town and to the main gondolas – so you can be on close to the action whilst still having a quiet place to rest your head.

Inside, the apartments are immaculately clean and decorated in simple Alpine style, with wooden furniture. They each have a kitchenette, with different amenities depending on the type, so you can choose which one suits you best. The supermarket is a short walk away, so you can stock up for the week – or just use the kitchenette for your morning coffee and explore the many restaurants in town.

The facilities are pretty limited, but there is WiFi and a ski storage room with heated boot racks, so no-frills skiers will have everything they need. The Alpenland does not have a lift.
