Mont Tremblant is a slightly different North American ski experience with the French touch. The skiing is pretty good if a little limited in size, while it can be very cold early season. It is closer to Europe, though, and one of the highest-rated resorts in Eastern North America.
Apres ski and nightlife are concentrated in Vieux Tremblant, bustling with a colourful array of lively bars and restaurants.
The range of eateries at Tremblant is much more wide ranging than the ski resort norm, with the local 'Québécois Poutine' style complimented by international flavours including Italian, Mexican and French. Dishes on offer range from a rich fondue to a 'queue de castor' (a beavertail snack). Restaurants are largely informal and relaxed, spilling out in to pavement cafés in the central Place St Bernard.
