Cervinia is arguably Italy’s most snow-sure destination: its altitude affords good snow coverage right until the end of the season, and you’d certainly be hard-pressed to find a better Italian resort for cruisy days in spring sunshine. Speaking of cruisy, Cervinia is chiefly a destination for beginners and intermediates. The resort offers plenty of long, gentle pistes that are perfect for getting your miles up or just enjoying leisurely carving.

Truly seasoned skiers in search of something more difficult can always hop over to the steeper slopes of Zermatt, however if plenty of challenging runs are a requisite for your dream holiday, staying in Zermatt is likely a better option. In total, visitors can enjoy some 160km of pistes in the local area of Cervinia and another 190km over in Zermatt, with the slopes running up to an eye watering 3820m. Holidaymakers should note, however, that adverse weather conditions can shut the upper lifts and the connection to Zermatt.

While the dining options in Cervinia are decent, serious foodies will want to stay on the Zermatt side of the Matterhorn where one can experience Michelin starred mountain restaurants. Likewise, the après-ski scene in Cervinia isn’t as infamous as that of its Swiss neighbour, but there some positively charming places to enjoy a laid-back drink. There are a good number of catered chalets, hotels and chalet-hotels available in Cervinia, many with flights and transfers included.

Enjoy the convenience of a truly all inclusive package where great pride is taken in the wonderful food and drink on offer. Generally speaking, the service is split with the choice of the signature buffet or on site restaurants (included in the price) which serve up delicious local delicacies. The buffets have a vast range of delights on offer from fresh seafood right through to steak, cooked to your liking, ensuring there is plenty to tickle your taste buds. Children are just as well catered for as adults with a host of choices to satisfy smaller appetites.

Each property has at least one restaurant on site serving local delicacies, which in the Alps means Fondue, Raclette and Pierre Chaude as well as other Alpine stalwarts. Whilst these restaurants are included in the price, you do have to book your table in advance.

Drinks are also included in the price whether your tipple of choice is a few beers after skiing or perhaps a pre-dinner cocktail. Just head to the bar and your wish will be their command! Meal times (and any other time for that matter!) are always accompanied by free flowing wine. Do bear in mind that premium brands and champagnes are not included in the price but can be provided should you wish.

What’s included in the all-inclusive package – Return flights & transfers, premium accommodation, ski pass, ski & snowboard lessons for all levels, three gourmet meals a day, open bar, kids’ clubs and evening entertainment
